Many college scholarships and college admissions programs look at
community service hours served by their applicants. It is a disadvantage
to our students not to have such a requirement in their high
school career. With that in mind, in 2015 St. Mary's School adopted the requirement of each high school student to serve twelve service hours per school year.
Service hours
will be outside of school hours and the student will not receive any
direct payment. Service hours must have at least 3 hours of each
component: School, Parish, and Community, to be considered complete for
the year. If you would like to post your event as a service opportunity, contact [email protected], see suggestions below.
