St. Mary’s Student Council is a group of elected student leaders who work with a faculty advisor to impact their school and community. It provides students an opportunity to develop leadership skills as well as plan school activities, fundraisers and service projects.
Student Council members help coordinate major school service projects like Operation Christmas Child, Santa's Secret Workshop and Then Feed Just One. The organization plans “jean days” that benefit a charity or special cause. They promote and host Siouxland Blood Drives and plan yearly Homecoming activities.
In addition to providing opportunities to learn and serve the school and local communities, involvement in the Student Council is a beneficial addition to college admission and scholarship applications.
